MengTing (Michelle) Yu is a sound designer working at Blizzard Entertainment on World of Warcraft.

As a Sound Designer on World of Warcraft, she is responsible for crafting and implementing a wide range of in-game audio, including creature vocalizations, spell and combat effects, ambient environments, weapons, and UI elements. Her work is driven by the goal of enhancing gameplay and storytelling through sound, ensuring that every asset feels immersive, impactful, and authentic to the world of Azeroth. She works closely with designers, animators, and engineers to develop cohesive, responsive audio experiences that support both the narrative and player engagement.

 
She graduated  from Berklee College of Music, doing a dual major in Music Production Engineering and Electronic Production Design, with specialization in Video Game Sound Design for Video Games and Audio Post Production.


 

In addition to her work in game audio, MengTing is an experienced Audio Engineer, with experience in both Studio Mixing and Live Sound Engineering. She has supported numerous high-profile events, including Berklee’s singer showcases and commencement concerts. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and innovative problem-solving, she consistently delivers exceptional audio quality in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Her ability to manage both Front of House or Monitor engineering ensures that every performance is delivered with clarity, balance, and emotional impact.

Across both live and interactive media, MengTing brings a commitment to technical excellence, creative storytelling, and a passion for immersive sound. She remains eager to take on new challenges and continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in sound design and audio engineering.
